Make a Difference Every Day as a Direct Support Professional
Are you passionate about helping people and making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities?
Priority Group Services is looking for a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our DDD team.
As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities and help promote independence, community involvement, personal growth, and quality of life.

Priority Group Services provides staffing and support services throughout New Jersey, including Home Care and Developmental Disabilities (DDD) services.
Our services include Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Personal Care and Transition Care, Companionship, Clinical Support, Light Housekeeping, Care Management, Home Care, and DDD Services.
Job Responsibilities
- Support individuals in participating in community, social, recreational, educational, and employment activities.
- Assist individuals in developing and maintaining independent living and social skills.
- Provide support with communication, budgeting, self-care, and daily living activities.
- Provide transportation and supervision during community outings and activities.
- Encourage individuals to make their own choices and develop self-advocacy skills.
- Monitor and document individual progress, behaviors, and incidents according to agency and DDD requirements.
- Ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of individuals at all times.
- Work with families, Support Coordinators, and other team members to implement Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).
- Attend required training, meetings, and continuing education as required by DDD and agency policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all agency and DDD policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities preferred or required based on program requirements.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Reliable transportation required for community outings.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and responsible.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow agency policies.
